I will also be checking for grammar and spelling errors, just like in English class! PROOF-READ!!! ·Be sure you follow the layout below because that’s part of your grade! Watch for indenting! ·Be sure to spell check your work when you are done. ·Save your letter in your folder as “letter to teacher”. ·After you have proof-read your paper, print a final copy to turn in to Miss Coenen.
Example: 2/25/09
Dear Miss Coenen, This is where the body of your letter should be typed. You can include information about you and your life. If I were writing a letter to my teacher I would include information about my parents, brothers, sisters, grandparents, and any one else important in my life. I would also include information about what I like about school and homework. I would then move to paragraph 2 and include information about stuff I collect, hobbies, sports I like, and I would of course talk about my favorite NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt, Jr. I might also include games I like playing, places I like to hang out at, and people I like to spend time with. If there’s anything else that you want to include that is school appropriate this would be a good place to put it. When I am done with all of this, I will end my letter with a closing and my name.
Sincerely, (or Your friend,)
(your name belongs here!)
